Is consent required for EPFO lookup?+
Yes. Eko's Employee Verification API includes a consent flow compliant with DPDP Act 2023. The employee provides explicit consent before any employment data is fetched.
What if an employee hasn't registered with EPFO?+
For informal workers without EPFO records, the pack falls back to reference check support via our partner network and address verification via Aadhaar (DigiLocker).
